Is there a way I can setup my form so when someone picks a school, it will only show the avialable programs for each?

We have been using jotform for some time. Works great.

I am curious if the following is possible.

Right now we have an area where we ask people to select the school they want to attend. We have a drop down list of all schools.

Shortly after that we have them select the program they want to attend. In that drop down list we have a list of every program available for every school we have.

The question I have is there a way to have it set up where when someone picks a school, the type of program options available are only related to the school they select?

    Thanks in advance.

Hey Mark - You have two ways to approach this:

    1. If the number of schools and respective programs is manageable (meaning, there's only a few of them), you can manually add separate dropdown menus for each school then conditionally show them based on the school selected. For example, if you have 5 school options in your first dropdown, then you have to create 5 separate dropdown menus for each school, each of which with their own respective programs.

Afterwards, you will create conditions similar to these:

IF a user selected School A THEN SHOW the dropdown that corresponds to School A

IF a user selected School B THEN SHOW the dropdown that corresponds to School B

    (and so on)

    2. Or, if you need something simpler and easier to manage, especially if you have a long list of schools and programs, we have a DYNAMIC DROPDOWN WIDGET that might fit your needs.

With this widget, you're basically creating nested dropdowns, where the next set of options will depend on what was selected from the first one.

Sorry, I did not understand your question, may you please kindly provide more details?

If you need to add more options then you will need to do it from the back-end, it's not possible to allow the submitter to add options.
