How to limit the options so that each time when the Form is submitted it reduces the number of selected slots?

is there a way to "remember" the user last answer so every time he gets the right questions and instructions?

if he is checking in then a,b,c,

if he already checked in then his options are....

and I can't change the user form link we are placing for them an icon on the desktop so they must operate it from their origin link

on the same issue there is a number of offices so if one user checked in to one.

the next one that will come to check in will not be able to use this room (it will not be an option).

can we do something like that?

we have like 8 users and 10 offices and we want to record the check ins and the offices.

Could you please check our appointment slots widget:

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/appointment_slots

Here in this widget, you can limit how many people choose an available slot because the widget reduces the number of selected slots each time the form is submitted.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.

I saw that and it seems that it covers the offices occupation issue but i don't see how it's being updated?

what we need is like an employee card punching in {means he is in} and then he can choose office, report a new project, go to do some arrans or other options.

now after a while he will get in to his link again( push the icon on his phone) , report that he is leaving, rating his day, the facility being asked if the office need to be held for him or is available...

and then on the next day it starts again (so how can this widget can help)?

What you can do is setup two Appointment slots widget, one for check-in time and other for checkout time. You may conditionally show hide the check in and check out time:

I think that I wasn't clear enough: when you check out you return the office. (or keep)

let say user 1 checked in and there are offices a,b,c&d he choose office 'a' and took it off from the list.

Now, user 2 is coming and checks in as well he can't take office 'a' because it's off the list --- good so he takes office 'b'

at noon user 1 checks out and he returns office 'a' -- I don't see how to do this

and now user 3 is getting in and he should be able to choose from offices a, c & d -- and this as well is not supported.

That's possible but the returning user e.g. user1 in your example, should uncheck/unselect on its existing submission so the number depleted will be returned.

Another alternative solution is to delete the user1 submission after check out so the number will be added again, meaning it can be selected by the following user.

To allow the user to update their submission, you can provide them their edit URL. Guide: How to Let Users Update Their Form Submissions at a Later Date

letting the user to update its submission will not work, the users are not 'sophisticated' they supposed to have one icon on the phone to open the check in/out .

it would be great if there will be a way to delete the submission automatic by some kind of a trigger. isn't there another way to delete the submission or to alter the widget?

You may check our Auto delete app which would delete the submissions automatically.

    https://apps.jotform.com/app/auto_delete_submissions

This app deletes new form submissions instantly as soon as they are received. It uses JotForm webhooks so it is almost instant.

You may Integrate your Form with the Google Spreadsheet so that you have a copy of the submissions.

Hi thx for the prompt answer but in this way the Appointment slots widget, will be always full with the resources (offices), and that was that thread idea from the beginning.

May we know how are you going to use the check in and check out button in your website? How are you going to share this Form?

Once the user submits(Check In the slots), you may setup an Autoresponse email which would contain the link to edit his submission. So that if he wishes to check out the room he may use that link to edit his entry. Also, you may add a date element to record the exit/entry time.

Other than the above-suggested solution there is no other way to record slots exit and entry slots.

    Thanks.
