uploaded files cannot be opened in the notification email

    I have created a form where the users have the possibility to attach videos or photos. The attachment process is no problem, but when I receive the images through a form in my e-mail account, I cannot open the images.

    I have tested a cloned version of your form and I was able to download the uploaded image files.

    To clarify, is this issue happening to this specific file or all the uploaded files can't be downloaded in your email?

    May we know if it returns an error message when you tried to open/download the uploaded file?

    Have you tried downloading the image file in your submission?

    Hi Richie,

    I have tried to fill in the form again with attached documents on a laptop and on a mobile and they both work and all the attached files could be opened, so I guess that this was a temporary problem.

    Thanks for your help and if there appear new problems I will tell you.

    The issue is caused because of the "Privacy"  setting you have enabled in form. Since "Require log-in to view uploaded files." is selected in your account privacy, the uploaded files will not be displayed if you are not logged in to your JotForm account. Please check the screenshot below:


    I would suggest you to please uncheck "Require log-in to view uploaded files." in your account setting and that should solve your problem.
