Request to allow for filling forms via OCR

Hi, we are using more and more your forms for many things is there a way to distinguish numbers from a photo, read car plates, dashboard KM, temperature on a thermometer, get ID number etc.? 

I saw that in the past some inquiries regarding OCR (Optical character recognition) had been made before

is there any progress there? 

There has not been any progress on either of those requests.  Usually features are added due to overall demand for the feature.  I will forward your request for consideration so you can be updated if the feature is added.  If there is any progress to the request, we will let you know here in this thread.
