Is it possible to integrate with Payflow Pro PayPal account?

    Hello JotForm Support Team, 

    I work for a non-profit and we have a program that allows people to sponsor beds for residents in our shelter. We are attempting to integrate Recurring Billing into our Jotform and we are having problems. I have activated the API for the form in our Paypal Pro payment gateway, but when I try to submit a payment it tells me DPRP is disabled. However, I contacted Paypal and they said that Direct Recurring Payments (DPRP) is their old system that they discontinued and Direct Billing is their new system. 

    The fact that it is telling me that DPRP is disabled tells me that either the message is outdated on the Jotform or I need to change which Payment Gateway I'm using to make it compatible with Recurring Billing. Or maybe both. 

    I have not turned on Recurring Billing in my PayPal account and I want to make sure that this will resolve the issue with my Jotform before I agree to pay an additional $10 a month to PayPal.

    Can anyone confirm the issue with my form is that I do not have Recurring Billing or that I need to change my Payment Gateway?

    Hello, I assume that you have a PayFlow Pro type of PayPal account. I have performed some research and it seems that PayFlow Pro is a standalone PayPal product, which would require new integration. I will raise a feature request so our back-end considered adding new integration. 

    In the meantime, please consider using different payment integration, here is the list: Mastering-Payment-Form-Integrations-with-JotForm

    Also, it looks like PayPal support can switch your account to DPRP compatible, here is the link: https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/what-is-direct-payment-recurring-payments-(dprp)-and-how-does-it-work-faq3684 You may contact them once again to check this.

    Just to follow up on this, do you know how long it might be before a PayFlow compatible gate becomes available?

    The feature request has an 'Important' mark. But, we still can not promise any time frame for when this becomes available. I do not want to provide false expectations. If possible, please consider using different payment integration while new feature is being worked on. Once we get an update on this ticket, we will notify you right away.
