I am looking into the possibility of using JotForm for our field supervisors to report time for various projects in the field. At the moment I can make it so they can input the worker names, hours, etc but only if I make the whole table "text Box" input type and naming the rows "worker 1, worker 2, etc" .
I would like to either make it so each column could be set to "text box" vs "numeric text box" so that when the supervisors are filling out the fields on their phone it defaults to the number pad with the exception of the workers name (picture of current table attached for a reference).
The other way I can see this working pretty well would be is if the row names are able to be defined by the end user, in which case I could then make the table all numberic text.
Is this possible to do and I am just missing it?
Thanks,
Will

In the input table field, we are unable to define columns in individual field types. So the table becomes either completely numeric or completely text. Instead, you can try our Configurable List widget. Your users can enter any number of worker information. Please look at this.
To add Configurable List widget into your form, please follow these steps.
1. Add Configurable List widget.2. Customize it.This is sample configuration text:
Name :text : Please enter name
Operator Hours : number:0
Labor Hours : number:0
Per Diem : number:0
Travel time : number:0 -

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. What you designed is exactly what I am looking for and your instructions were extremely clear, but I found two issues with the end result:
The first, and larger issue, is when taking the survey on my phone, the last two input boxes are cut off and I can not scroll horizontally to see the rest of the fields like I could when using the standard table.
Second, the "number" fields do not prompt the number keypad to pop up, just the regular keyboard. This isn't a complete deal breaker, but it would be extremely nice to have as many of our field supervisors aren't used to using smartphones or computers so removing that one step of switching to number pad would be very nice. -

Since the configurable list widget loads on an iFrame and not mobile responsive by default, the fields may be displaying to the right of the form. However, you may make the widget responsive by following the guide below:
https://www.jotform.com/help/456-How-to-Make-the-Configurable-List-Widget-Mobile-Responsive
The issue with the numeric keypad on a mobile for the number field is moved to a separate thread and shall be addressed there shortly.
