Date Confusion

    On a form we are developing, Online BHSA Appointment Form, we ask for DOB.  The widget wants the information in mm/dd/yyyy format (that is how it asks for it in the blank and how it writes it if you click the calendar icon) but when the information is presented in both the notification email and in the autoresponder email, it is not in that format.  It changes from "mm dd yyyy" as it requests to "dd mm  yyyy".  It also makes this change in the database.


    Obviously this will confuse our system if it is not consistent because today's date switches from 04/03/2019 to 03/04/2019.


    Please advise.

    The format of your DOB field is dd/mm/yyyy. The format that is shown under the field label is a description text.

    You can change it inside of the field settings to dd/mm/yyyy.

    The problem is, simply changing the description (which can be anything and something that I added), does not change the format that is pre-populated in the form blank.    SEE ABOVE.  I made the change you suggested.


    In that form, it the blank still reads mm/dd/yyyy.  There is no option available for me to change this.  Obviously, if I change it in the description above the blank but I cannot change it in the form blank, that will lead to more confusion.


    Furthermore, in the event that you click the calendar icon to generate a date, it puts the date in the mm/dd/yyyy format but the reporting switches it around in the emails an in the database.


    Ideally, the format would be the more traditional mm/dd/yyyy

    I tested your form and the format dd/mm/yyyy is also shown inside fo the email alerts and on the submissions page.

    Is the data show differently on your end?

    You are using the Brith Date Picker widget which does not have a Date Format option. 

    As a possible solution, you can use the Date Picker widget.
