    Hello there,

I want some data from my form to go to ASANA when certain condition is met, only when my manager needs to be aware of the situation at matter. Howere, it seems that every submition is to become a task. How can work around it?

I'm not sure it is possible as your form will send directly the submission to your Asana.

You may try using Zapier to direct the Asana task depending on conditions.

We can however, forward a feature request to our developers. Butr, before forwarding a ticket can you please explain further how you want the condition to work with Asana?

    Hey Richie,

My stores need to send information and receipts based on daily operations. If nothing goes offtrack, they'll send and my Finance deparment will receive the form answers and check the data if eveything is all right. In this situation, I don't want any information on my Asana.

However, a store may have had some sort of trouble during the day which they need to notify the Finance Department. When that happens, I wish that JOTFORM sets up a TASK for my Process Manager, because it'll need his attention and follow up.

Looks like Asana integration will create tasks for every submission. You can try the following:

    1. To populate fields integrated with Asana based on a condition, so they stayed empty when condition is not met: How-to-Insert-Text-or-Calculation-into-a-Field-Using-Conditional-Logic

    2. As far as I know, there should be an option to send an email to the asana address in order to create a task. A form can send emails conditionally, so you can consider this option as well: How-to-Send-Email-Based-on-User-s-Answer

    Hello Victoria,

Thanks for ideas and I believe the one that might work for us is the one which send an e-mail to ASANA and it identifies it as a task and sets it up automatically.

However, in the tests I've run today, putting up the e-mail as an addressee in a condition-based sending, the task wasn't created.

I've tried it from my Outlook and it worked fine a few seconds later, but with the E-mail notification in JOTFORM, the message never got to ASANA.

I don't have access to an "outbox" or "Sent Itens" in my account to identify what went wrong. Could you help me out?

    Thanks.

    Denis

I searched through ASANA and I understood that they require an e-mail validation to receive such e-mails which turn into TASK in its platform.

On JOTFORM, I saw in the ADVANCED tab on the e-mail settings that I can set up the sender. Is that the way, or would it be possible for JotForm to create a standard e-mail for such cases?

Thanks and wait for your answer.

You may setup an SMTP so that the notification email would be sent using your emailing server.

You could also try the sender email, however you will still be using JotForms email server.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.
