    Hi,

Is it possible to validate data with JotForm? For instance that a field only can be filled with certain EAN codes.

Thank you for contacting us. I also recommend creating an account first if you haven't yet.

You can sign up using your email account here https://www.jotform.com/signup

As to your inquiry, some fields already have data validation properties.

Example the Short Entry field (Textbox)

By EAN codes I think you meant the barcode.

Please check this similar discussion thread for information.

    Hi Jonathan,
That's not quit what I mean; for instance there are 100 valid serial numbers, and I want someone to fill in a valid serial number, I only want them to be able to finish the form of the serial number matches one of the hundred. Is that possible?
Met vriendelijke groet / kind regards,

I think the only way to do this may be with the Spreadsheet to Form widget, you may add the list of codes to your sheet and link it to the form, then ask the user for the code and set conditional logic to allow the submission for that.

This guide will help you with the widget: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget
