Airtable Integration: update user records using email address

Hi - I'm running into an issue with the zap for the "tear sheet and virtual data room" form that transfers the information from JotForm to AirTable. The zap is working, but the only fields that won't transfer from JotForm to Airtable are those with attachments. I've been in contact with Zapier, and they let me know that it is an issue with JotForm directly, not the zap. Attached is a sample of attachments that are showing up as blank fields in Airtable. I've tried this with PDFs and word documents, but none of them are making their way into the AirTable base. When I click on the actual links in the JotForm entry, I'm getting a blank page.

Can you please help me figure out why the attached documents aren't appearing in Airtable?

    Thanks

You may also try with our direct integration with Airtable: https://apps.jotform.com/app/airtable_integration

    I hope this helps.

Hi Kevin - the integration is helpful, but this particular zap uses the search and update feature, so the Airtable record is updated with information that is in the JotForm form. If the email address is entered into the JotForm form, the zap will search the record in Airtable and update it. I didn't see that feature available with the direct integration but am I missing it?

Can you please share to us how you Integrate Airtable with your Form, the base and table?

To clarify, do you want to update a user in the Airtable using the email address mapped in the Integration?

    Looking forward for your response.

The base we connect is 'StartUp Health IQ', and the base is 'Applicants'

Yes, that is correct. We update the user record in Airtable with information entered in the JotForm form based on the email address. So for example, if a record in Airtable already exists with the email address "ltucci@startuphealth.com," and I fill out the tear sheet and virtual data room form with that email address, all of the information entered into the form will go directly to my existing Airtable record.

Thank you for the clarification. I have tested the Airtable integration and it seems it creates a new entry even if the email address has been used.

Let me forward a feature request to our developers to add an option to update user's record.

Do note that we cannot give an ETA when this feature would be added or will it be passed. However, we will keep you posted via this thread for possible updates.

    Okay, thank you.

In the meantime, can you please help me figure out why the attachments are not being sent through to Airtable from JotForm via Zapier, per my first question in this thread? I have been in contact with Zapier and they directed me to you since this is a JotForm issue.

    Please let me know ASAP.

Since a ticket has been opened here regarding another matter, I have moved the last one to the following thread: https://www.jotform.com/answers/1787740

    Thanks.
