Questions about encryption and HIPPA features

Hi, I am making a HIPPA compliant form for a client, using your service. I was wondering after they upgrade to the Silver Plan, will they need to manually enable HIPPA compliance, or is this done automatically? If it needs to be done manually, what are the steps needed to enable HIPPA compliance?

Also, would they need to enable the form encryption feature to be HIPPA compliant?

They will be using a HIPPA compliant encrypted email service to receive emails for form submissions.

I await your reply. Thank you.

    Hi Donald!

This detailed guide explains the necessary steps required to enable HIPAA compliance on Silver and Gold plans: https://www.jotform.com/help/500-How-to-upgrade-to-HIPAA-Compliance

Enabling the form encryption feature is optional - the submission data will already be encrypted and stored in a separate HIPAA-compliant server.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you and have a great day!
