I found out that some of the fields in the PDF Form are reordered

    Hello

I've created an online form. I wanted to use a PDF version of this and found that some of the questions had been auto re-ordered. How can I prevent this from happening. The order of the fields is important.

    Thanks

Our apologies for the issue. Can you please confirm if the order of the fields is correct before? Did you notice this after trying to modify a field or did you just see them in random order without doing anything in the PDF editor?

I would suggest deleting the current PDF Form and create a new one to refresh the whole fields. This should correct the order, but if the issue persists, please inform us here so we can create a ticket about it.

Thanks, Welvin. That worked. I just wanted to check something else. I’ve now downloaded the pdf form. I’ve tried to do a test on it. When I clicked on ’submit’, it made a ‘clicking’ motion but nothing happened. It did not give any message about there being any errors / or success. And I also didn’t receive the form. Do you know why this is?
    Thanks

Is the current PDF form a new one that you have just re-created? I'm checking on this form https://www.jotform.com/90964719908372. I checked, and I think the fields are in random order again :( Can you check and confirm that?

As for filling up the PDF, you need to have a PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat or similar apps to fill and submit the PDF Form.

    Hello
I’m trying to do a test form. I get the message: “At least one required field was empty. Please fill in the required fields (highlighted) before continuing.” But I can’t see the required field that is wrongly inputted. ALL of the required fields are highlighted, but how do I know which field is stopping the form being submitted. I’ve attached screenshot if that helps.
    Kind regards

I'm sorry, but this support forum won't be able to accept email attachments. You need to access this thread by following the steps in the guide below to upload a screenshot.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/438-How-to-Post-Screenshots-to-Our-Support-Forum

I figured it is related to the field 'Please indicate which organisations you are a full member of' which is a multiple choices field. It is not submitting if you will not fill the Other box. This is a bug, and I'm reporting this to our backend team. I'll do that in a new thread here https://www.jotform.com/answers/1793525.

Would you also mind answering my question if the current PDF is the newly created PDF form or is this the same PDF that you have prior to posting this thread? I will have to create a ticket about it as well since fields are still in random order.

Thanks for looking into this. I appreciate your help. I’m using the form entitled: Wharf Health Application Form for pdf. I deleted the form with the random fields as you suggested and then generated a new PDF form. This worked well and the form ordering is fine.

I see. Thank you for the confirmation. All good then :) I see the correct PDF in it.
