How to limit the Form based on the number of times the user submitted it?

    Hello.

I hope you can help me with this request.

Is it possible to have a form that will allow a user, on computer or a mobile phone, to open and send the form for a limited number of times, within a specified duration of time?

The requirement here is for a government waste management company who want to have a mobile app and a website (both of which I build) which will allow the user to fill in a 'bulk refuse application form' no more than 19 times within a period of 12 months.

After the first 12 months, the user will be able to start all over again for another 19 times in a 12 month period.

    Please advise.

    Thanks & Regards

    George

Do you want to limit the Form for 19 times for each of the user or for the entire company?

    1. You can limit total submission by setting up the Submission limit.

    Please check this guide:

    2. You can take use of our Appointment slots where you can limit the entries by setting up the value 19 in each of the rows for each department.

Do you have any counted number of users?

Suppose if you have 5 users to use this then you can add 5 Appointment slots in the Form and then pass the username via the URL so if the user1 is opening the Form, widget for this user would appear to him. This way you can configure 19 submissions for him in the widget.

    Thanks.

Once again Thank You for responding to my request. It is very much appreciated.

I like and I understand the 'workaround' method you kindly listed out - however, I do no think it will work for me in this instance. Please allow me to explain a bit further maybe there still is a solution...

This form will be placed on a mobile phone app which i am in the process of developing for a government company. There will be 'thousands' of users for the app and they will only download it because this particular form would be on it...

In other words it is 19 submissions & 12 month durtaion limit for (at least) 5000 Separate users...

    What do you think?

To clarify a single user can send the form 19 times for 12 months? Or the 19 submissions is the total for 12 months?

Currently, you can only set your submission limits with my colleagues suggestions.

also - can you please explain how to do this: ..." and then pass the username via the URL ..."

I'm not sure I understood your question correctly. Do you want to pass your username via URL?

You may pass your form field data from one form to another using URL parameters.

    Hope this information helps.
