The Form Page keeps starting at the bottom of the page near the CAPTCHA field

Asked by iconicperformances on March 19, 2011 at 10:40 AM

I have just finished creating a form, however every time I access that page or refresh it, the form always starts at the bottom of the page where the submission button is, rather than at the top of the page.

I have tried everything I know to fix this problem, however I have not been able to solve it.

Could you please tell me how to fix this?

    Hi there,

I tried opening your form using four different web browsers (latest versions of IE, Firefox, Apple, and Chrome) but failed to replicate the problem you described. Could you please confirm to me which browser you're using as well as its version?

In addition, please double check that your form is properly arranged such that the submit form is at the lowest part of your form. It is very basic but sometimes we tend to overlook these simple things.

We'll wait for your response. Thank you for using JotForm!

    Hi,

The auto-focusing of your page is due to a script in the recaptcha field that you have inserted in your form. To prevent that from happening, find and delete this line in your form's source code:

    callback: Recaptcha.focus_response_field

    Hope that helps.

Thank you NeilVicente.  Your comment has helped me greatly.  The interesting thing, was that I didn't actually put that code there.  It was pre-inserted when the form was made.

At least now, when using the RECAPTCHA field, I will remove that line, unless I need it again.

Hi allanftd, I do thank you for support. Funny enough I had tested it out on Firefox, and IE8 and the problem kept occuring, so I can't really say what was happening, but at least the problem was solved.

    Thanks guys.
    Steve.
