Appointment Slots widgets single countdown across two widgets

    Hi,

I'm looking to create a form where parents can book their children into a club. I only want them to be able to book into one club for each child they have. The appointments slot widget is my start point which works very neatly for one child

My challenge is how to do this for two child families and countdown the number of available spaces taking into account all submissions by the parent. I can insert a second widget for the second child, but this then creates a new countdown rather than linking to the number of spaces on the first widget.

I could ask parents to fill in a different form for each child, but wanted to set up unique submissions to prevent parents from making multiple submissions and blocking up spaces for others.

So is there a way to ensure unique submissions, but allow those parents with two children to choose one club for each and have it count down from an overall total, not per widget.

I have included the URL of my mock up version where I've been trying a few options to get this to work in the way that I want it to.

    Many thanks

    Iain

The appointment widget is limited to only allow a single quantity of selection. If you want to add another child, I would suggest the Inventory widget so that you can set the quantity to 2 for the single club or the Quantity Gift Registry widget.

Please give it a try and let us know if this fits your requirements.

    Thank you,
I like the widgets and will find them useful for other forms, but I couldn’t get them to do what I was trying to do – I may have missed something though.
Whilst I can now capture more than one choice of club or two of the same clubs, if it was the former I wouldn’t be able to separate which child wanted which club. Equally, apart from a polite request, I don’t think I could stop parents from requesting more than one club for a single child.
I may need to live with the risk that I don’t switch on the unique responses functionality and then pull out any multiple completions manually.
I’m open to any other thoughts however.
    Many thanks

Unfortunately, it is not possible to get the quantity of widgets to be passed.

You may try using conditions to hide/show fields when the parent has 1 child or two children. Fore example, if the user has two children you can hide your appointment widget and show either the quantity or inventory widget. Then if 1 child, show appointment widget hide quantity or inventory widget.

    Hope this helps.
