Review Form before Submission

I'm continuing this from another thread that I was asked to move:

While there are a few options to allow users to review the thread prior to submission include:

    1. Confirmation Page Trick : Essentially, still a trick. It uses your "Thank-you page" as a confirmation, but ends up double e-mailing when the form's edited.

    2. Update Link : Useful only after the user has submitted the form.

    3. Save & Continue Later : Another odd work-around which doesn't let you review your entire form, but just gives the user a personalized link.

I'm still looking for a "drag & drop" feature to place on the final page of the form prior to submission which essentially displays the entire user's form entry prior to submission. At the very least, if the HTML Free Text box was able to parse Form Fields tags (i.e. {firstname}), that might be useful. In fact, that would let me customize different pages of the form based on inputs for previous pages.

What I imagine is something you would normally see when you go online shopping. There's always a review page for you to look at all your entries before you submit. I can't even count the number of times that's helped me prevent errors. Is anything like that available yet?

    1. Unfortunately, that is how it works for now.

    2. Yes, that is how update link works. They'd be able to get notification containing the upload link, when they click the link they'd be able to see their existing data prepopulaed to the field dynamically. Editing the data and re-submitting the form will automatically update the existing submissions data. Though, as you've mentioned, it will send another form notification to your email address but you don't need to worry about it since you could identify edit notificaitons. Edit submissions notifications is tag with "Edit".

    3. Yes, that is how it works. Sorry about that.

I am sorry to say but the feature you are looking for is not yet available with the current version of JotForm. However, this has been considered for implementation in the future but we can't provide any ETA. Let me also forward your request so you'd be able to get updates once we have such feature available in the future.

I'm looking for the same feature as @allicchen.  I need the same "Preview before Submit" or form review options.  I'm in agreement, that if available in HTML (i.e. {firstname}) would be perfect!  There are many creative ways I could use that, if we could call the field value.  I have a few clients that could use this feature on their long forms, or page breaked forms.

Please advise when available.  Even if only available in the paid features, or a paid upgrade.

Thank you for your input gjadams,

At this time that feature is not yet implemented.  The only way to achieve this at this time is through the Thank You page workaround.

    As discussed above:

    1. Confirmation Page Trick : Essentially, still a trick. It uses your "Thank-you page" as a confirmation, but ends up double e-mailing when the form's edited.

As advised by EltonCris, we do not have an ETA on when this feature will be implemented, or if ever will. Rest assured that if we have any updates on we will communicate this to you.

Thank you again for your input.

alicchen, you know, if you use the paypal integration feature, the user gets a summary of what's in the shopping cart before they finish the checkout.

Unfortunately, it's not intuitive to revise the "cart", so you eventually end up with two entries (an abandoned transaction and a completed one).
