Workflow and form permissioning and required fields

    Hi,

    I recently asked a similar question about my particular workflow, and your colleague kindly sent me this to read:

    A General Approach on Building an Approval Process Workflow

    My issue is however as follows;

    The ideal workflow is for part of a larger form to be partly populated by employee1. They submit this form and it is approved by manager1.

    Upon approval, manager2 then takes the form and completes the rest.

    The problem is that both parts of the form have required fields. How can employee1 fill out his part of the form and not come up against the issue of the required fields that he did not fill out further down the form as they are for manager2 to complete?

    Is it easier to have a separate form that employee1 fills out in full and then submits and has approved by manager1? How then is it possible to populate the information that exists within the form that employee1 has filled out in their 'mini form' into the larger form that manager2 then needs to complete?

    So, shell or skeleton data completed by employee1, and full in depth data completed by manager2. How is best to solve for this? I am happy with one form for employee1 and one for manager2, but need manager2 to be able to grab and populate all of the relevant information already completed by employee1 into his larger form.

    Can you please help or advise

    Thanks

    You would be able to build the Form with all the three parts together. To do this you can follow the guidelines suggested by my colleague.

    To configure the required validation in your workflow at different stages, you may setup conditions in your Form.
