Usually when I make changes to a live jotform, if I refresh the target webpage, the changes are reflected immediately.
today this isn't the case. I make a change, reload the webpage, and nothing. (using firefox)
I then open Safari, load the page, and it reflects a previous change, but not the current version.
Note the position of the "promotional/discount code" in the screen capture. Sometimes I'll delete it completely and start over, or leave it out but the changes aren't taking. Iv'e tried clearing cache, reloading, opening and closing etc. It's kind of hard to work on a form when you go to the live page and it's not changing.

I am having exactly the same problem. Am running Windows 7. Firefox. Cleared the cache, history, everything. Shut down the computer. Restarted it. CTRL F5 etc...the form won't update on the live site after I make, and save, changes to it at jotform.

We're sorry for the incovenience it may brought to you. But this error "Form not updating" is part of the glitches of JotForm server synchronization. Don't worry, our Technical/Dev't Team is currently working on this and they will update you on this thread as soon as its fix.
- krisklingerAnswered on February 16, 2013 at 11:08 PM
I am having the same issues. Any updates on when this might be resolved?
- JotForm SupportWelvinAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 02:42 AM
Apologize for the issue. Changes are meant to take effect instantaneously but our CDN Servers will sometimes take time to cache the form changes, so, changing the URL from http://form to http://www will help.
For example, if your form embed codes is this:
Change it to:
And as what webmasterphi have mention, our developers are looking into this issue. We'll let everyone know if there are updates.

Did not help. Keep me in the thread update
- JotForm SupportabajanAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 09:01 AM
Please check your forms now that I've cleared the caches and let us know if it has helped. It's only a workaround until our developers can come up with a more permanent solution.
- cumberlandcssAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 11:35 AM
Still a problem...
- JotForm SupportabajanAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 11:45 AM
Is the problem occurring with all 16 of your forms or just specific ones?
- JotForm SupportabajanAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 11:48 AM
Just to clarify, after reading your other thread, the cache clearing operation needs to be done from our end and not yours.
- bellevuefineartAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 01:18 PM
Thanks for the update. I'll look forward to a permanent solution. I'll wait to do anymore development until it's done.
- msnilknarfAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 05:11 PM
My form is now appearing but it is an earlier version, not my updated version.
- JotForm SupportabajanAnswered on February 17, 2013 at 05:56 PM
Besides the failure to update, there may be a conflicts between the form's code and your page's scripts. (I noticed that the Captcha didn't load on the first try and only appeared after I refreshed the page.) If other visitors to the page report the same thing, substitute the iFrame version of the code for the default:
This guide explains the pros and cons of the various embed codes.
Anyway, that issue can be discussed further in another thread.
In the meantime, I've cleared your cache again. If the older version of the form is still appearing, please change the URL in the code from
and let us know if that helps.

and let us know if that resolves the problem.

Thanks @abajan, I understand that it's you guys who have to clear your cache etc, and I hope this is a temporary problem. It was happening on both the forms we updated last week, our other forms are either archived or don't need changing.
As I'm sure you know, taking over 12 hours to propgate changes from the jotform web interface to our live forms just can't fit with any timely professional workflow. But it's working OK right now.
Sorry to trouble you.
I am having the same problem.
The form I have updated in my account is not showing on my site, the old one is still there.
Do I have to re embed a new code each time I do a minor change to the form?
- jefreylandichoAnswered on February 20, 2013 at 07:56 AM
Can you try replacing the script embed code with the Iframe code instead. Some script could be causing a conflict in your website making date submission not to work.
To embed an IFrame code, please check the tutorial link below.
- tgallagher1000Answered on February 20, 2013 at 08:14 AM
Thanks for getting back to me.
Before when I udated it automatically updated my form, now it doesn't.
Is this going tobe a permanant feature of Jotform? as I have the form embed in about 20 pages, so it will take me along time to re embed in every page. each time I do a minor change to a form.
Sorry to bother you with this,
- jefreylandichoAnswered on February 20, 2013 at 08:30 AM
No, first thing I would suggest you do before re embedding the code is to clear your browser cache. If it does not help, please contact us as we can process a cache form clearing,
The IFRAME solution I gave you is for the DATE issue you are having.
I would also suggest that you open a new thead for your future concern with jotform so we may focus on the problem you are having as by editing the former question with a new one can be confusing.
If you need more help, please don't hesitate to contact us again.
- JotForm SupportEduardoMendezAnswered on February 20, 2013 at 08:38 AM
To add to @jefreylandicho's comment,
It may also be due to a cache delay on our end. I have cleared the cache of your forms on our end.
That should have solved the issue.
Please let us know if you need further assistance!

I'm having the same problem...however there is a fix for this, though a pain and time consuming. If you create a clone of your form with changes and embed the clone, it works. This means changing the name of your form and cloning it EVERY time you need a change, but at least it's a temporary fix if you need the form right away.
- JotForm SupportMike_TAnswered on February 20, 2013 at 03:25 PM
Usually the update time is really fast, but you are right, there might be some cache issues caused by different factors.
Thank you very much for sharing your solution with cloned form.
- tgallagher1000Answered on February 21, 2013 at 04:18 AM
Thanks Mike it is working well now.

This isn't absolutely consistent, but I found that if I clicked the Save button before Auto Save kicked in that my changes were usually shown on the landing page. Try it--might work for you. Otherwise the Clone method is fine.
- JotForm SupportabajanAnswered on February 24, 2013 at 05:29 AM
Thanks very much for that information. Small as it may seem, it may be a significant clue to help our developers resolve this issue. I'll inform them about it.
- JotForm SupportabajanAnswered on February 24, 2013 at 08:55 AM
In light of what zcom has stated, perhaps it would be best to disable the autosave feature until we get this sorted out:
With the form loaded in the form builder, right-click any empty region of the work area (anywhere that has no fields) and when the menu pops up, click Disable Auto Save:

I'm having the same trouble, and none of the above suggestions work for me. Any ideas when a fix will be available?
- JotForm SupportjonathanAnswered on February 24, 2013 at 05:38 PM
Hi, I have cleared your form's cache, although I am not exactly sure what is the trouble on your end since you have not specify it.
Can you please check if everything now works on your form?
If you still have issues, may I suggest you create a separate topic here and put as much details as you can.
- sittercritterAnswered on February 28, 2013 at 04:02 PM
OK Welvin's first answer up at the top partially worked for me. The form is not fully up to date yet but its a closer version. Also, it doent tell me the form is incompete anymore. Thx Welvin.
- JotForm SupportMike_TAnswered on February 28, 2013 at 04:23 PM
We are currently looking for a way to solve the cache issues permanently. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us anytime to clear the form caches manually.
Your form caches have been cleared. Thank you.
- bellevuefineartAnswered on February 28, 2013 at 04:49 PM
I've has this kind of problem before with my own sites. You may wish to look at the PHP cache and time to live settings on the apache side. IIS if you use that is particularly bad about over caching.
In the mean time clearing my cache worked for me. Good luck finding the needle in the haystack.
