How can I translate an answer to a numerical value?

If a user selects option A from a list, how do I score that answer to be 10 points, where option B is five points and option C zero points?

The reason I ask is because I would like to total the value of all answers given.

I can then use that score to help me prioritise which participants it is best to spend time with.

    Thanks,

    Alan

Use the update / calculate condition https://www.jotform.com/help/268-How-to-Insert-Text-or-Calculation-into-a-Field-Using-Conditional-Logic

You can then create a short text entry field that will hold the fields value. In this case, you will need to create a field for each question so that they will be the one that will hold the value assigned by the condition.

Lastly, use a form calculation widget to capture the total.
