I would like to know when i would received the email notifications if i have added a payment gateway in the form? once the customer has paid or just when they press the summi button?

The notifications on a form that has a payment field are sent when there is a successfull payment.
All forms that are submitted but have not sucessfuly processed the payments are marked as incomplete and are sent to our system as pending submissions. Here is a guide to help you manually retrieve this pending submissions if you wish:
