Can I display images in the body of the auto-respond email, as opposed to attachment?

Rather than have a link to open the image, is it possible to just display the image in the email? The attachment is the auto-response email, viewed in gmail.

The user being able to quickly glance and see the pictures would be slick... as opposed to having to open links or open an attached PDF.

Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement by adding "img:" prefix in the upload field tag of email alert template. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/405-How-to-display-uploaded-image-in-the-form-emails-or-thank-you-message

Thanks! I believe I followed the instructions but it is now just showing a little placeholder graphic thing, as opposed to the actual pictures. See both snips below, I highlighted what I'm referring to.

Any idea on what I can do to correct it?

I did check your form and you seems to have added the image tag correctly. The issue is caused because of the "Require log-in to view uploaded files." privacy is enabled in your form. This will require you to be logged in to your JotForm account to view the uploaded files.

I would suggest you to please uncheck "Require log-in to view uploaded files." privacy in your account setting page and that will solve your problem. Please check the screenshot below:
