  • Recolo
Asked on May 28, 2019 at 2:53 AM

    Dear Madam, Sir,

In the attached link I want Dutch data as output instead of the English.

What should I change to get this done?

Could you confirm if you are referring to the date fields displayed in the PDF report as shown below?

Also, please provide us with the format that you want to display in the report so that we can check it further.

We will wait for your response. Thank you!

The format should be in Dutch in this case as added below. The months are
translated in the online form and the form setting is also in Dutch as far
as I know. Anyway it would already help to be in format DD - MM -YYYY
    DD MM 2019

You can change the Date Format of the Date Picker field inside of the PDF Editor.

    1559057809dateformat Screenshot 10

You will need to do this for each Date Picker field separately.

In which document are you doing this? I am changing the format int the text
field. So not sure where you do this that it has the same effect on new
    text fields.

It seems like you attempted to post a screenshot to illustrate what you mean, but it did not post correctly on this forum thread. Please follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/438-How-to-Post-Screenshots-to-Our-Support-Forum

Hi the above issue is still not resolved because I need the date format
being correct when i use in the way below in a PDF document. So i want to
to use date formats in text field not as a seperate date field from the
form. Check 1.4 in the text. There I still get the wrong datefield in
English format. Which date picker field can just do dd/mm/yyyy so i have
correct dates in the PDF document?

I have tried changing the format in the date tag by adding the parameters. However, it seems it is not working. Let me forward the thread to our backend team as a feature request for evaluation. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any ETA at this moment. However, if there is any news you'll be updated here on this thread.

    Thanks!

    Dear support,
It has been two weeks so far without any news. If the date format can’t be in dutch on the PDF output the whole PDF output will be useless because the order of mmdd instead of ddmm (correct in Dutch). Why isn’t this still not resolved. In the online form it does work fine.
    Please update me asap.
    Kind regards,
    Koen

I consider this a bug because online it works but it is not converted
    correctly to PDF.
For me it would even work that the date will just appear in PDF making it
    DD-MM-YY

Apologies for any inconvenience. We will be tracking the ticket in our system and as soon as this is possible, our developers will resolve it. However, we still can not promise any time frame for this.

For now, I can suggest to format the date as per your requirements this way, you can see the result below:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Victoria,
The suggestion you make is this always resulting in the date of today or
can I apply this to a random chosen date in the online form?

    Hi again,

You may choose any date field from your form like this:

PDF editor: Ability to change the date format for a date field within a Text field Image 1 Screenshot 20

When it appears in a text element, you just need to add a :day or :month or :year to show the corresponding values of that selected field. Then, you can switch those values any way you need.

Let us know if this is not something you were looking for.

    Thank you.
