I have an issue with calculating promo codes

The math of the codes is not making any sense. If input a code for example 50% off $100 it comes up as $95 can anyone help explain this?

I have checked how the payment field in your form is set up and it appears that the product item shown as an example in your screenshot has "Special Pricing Per Quantity" option enabled.

Selecting 2 items for that product item with 50% discount code applied would have $95.00 sub-total.
