    Sending Sensitive Information Via Email Form

    Asked by jasen on March 22, 2011 at 01:59 PM

    Is there a way to have sensitive information not sent via email but have it shown in the database only?

    Example: SSN is collected via form and sent to email and stored in jotform. I don't want that field (SSN) sent via email. All other fields are fine being sent to email.

    Hi Jasen,

    It is possible to exclude certain fields from being sent to email notifications. You can do so by following these instructions:

    1. Go to Setup & Embed > Email Alerts > Notifications

    2. On the Compose Email wizard, find the name of the field that you're using for SSN.

    3. Delete that identifier. In this screenshot, for example, my field's label is SSN and the identifier is {ssn}

    That should do it. You can also click on Test Email to check if it is working correctly.
