Rename Photo/File SubmissionsAsked by thandler on February 25, 2013 at 02:42 PM
Our form is being used to allow visitors to submit photos. Is there any way to specify how those files/photos are named? i.e. rename then based on the email address submitted with the form?
Hello, unfortunately our File Upload tool does not have yet this capability. This is more of a generic file uploader tool than a customized uploader tool.
I will forward this feature request on our dev team. We can not give you a specific time frame for them to implement this but they will give this a priority as soon as there is a growing demand on the same feature.
If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to post them here. Thank you.
Ya, I have a lot of clients submit their photos to me via JotForm which uploads to DropBox. It would be so great if the photo files could automatically receive a Prefix based on the name of the submitter and the property order and pic order of the property. Like for property 1 and 2, that each receive 3 pics:
Smith 1-1 xxxxxx.jpg
Smith 1-2 xxxxxx.jpg
Smith 1-3 xxxxxx.jpg
Smith 2-1 xxxxxx.jpg
Smith 2-2 xxxxxx.jpg
Smith 2-3 xxxxxx.jpg
There's no ETA on every user requests so we cannot say when.
In order for us to submit your request entry to our developers, please open a new thread requesting the same so we can add it to our user's request list. Unfortunately, we cannot handle the same request from different users on a single thread.
Thank you for your understanding.
