I would like to create a form that would allow the update of multiple files, and have those files go to a DropBox/Google Drive location. The question I have for you is that some of the files will be fairly large, 1 MB to 300 MB. Do the files get uploaded twice? So would I have to purchase space on both JotForm and Google Drive/DropBox to accomplish this?

Good day! It does not have any effect, integrating form to Google Drive or Dropbox won't free up space in your account. You will have to delete existing uploaded files to free up space. Yes, you will need to upgrade your account in Jotform to at least Premium Subscription to received up to 10GB of space monthly as Free accounts can only received 100MB montly.
Dropbox gives you up 2GB FREE and Google Drive is 5GB. If you will surpass this limits, then it is up to you to buy more space or not.
