Re our form 3351157460 - Just tired to add a new show/hide field

Show / hide field does not work properly in this form IF you use field pre-population (via the URL that links to the form)

Works fine if you manually enter the field contents, or select from a drop down field, but it does not work if the field is pre populated.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

The form is live, so I jave temporarily removed the offending fields.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I've just cloned your form and added a collapsible section, then prepopulated the email field using the url, like so:

    http://www.jotform.com/form/10815120876?email43=test@example.com

It seems to work fine, but there might be some difference for particular types of field.  Can you give me an example of the url you used to prepopulate the form please? If it were badly formatted (say for example if there were spaces in it) that might cause some problems with the javascript.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel

Here is an example URL which works just fine

    http://www.kitchendoorworkshop.co.uk/quote.html?doorStyle=Pisa&doorColour=Ivory

Been using this type of link for ages with no problems

What I need to do is to have a new field which 'shows' when the term Ashford is entered inthe the doorStyle field by the URL

Can you make this work on your test version

    Thanks

    Robert

    Hello Robert,

Unfortunately, this feature is not available in the functions of JotForm.

The hiding/showing of fields are being handled by javascript events from keypress and mouse actions.  Which means it requires these for the javascript to get the result.  Not sure if others can make it work via URL parameter but I have been unsuccessful trying this out for more than an hour already.

    Thanks.
