I have tried several times to embed my form on my Wordpress blog. It says to use the HTML tab and there isn't one in the new post area. I wonder if this has changed and you haven't updated your instructions? Please help. Thanks for this great service!

The latest version of WordPress has a Visual and HTML tab located at the upper right of the text area field as seen below. Once you are in the html tab, you can paste the form embed script.
Note: Avoid switching from html to visual when inserting the embed script. There are some instances that WordPress tend to delete script automatically when switching from html to visual mode.
Since you are using WordPress, you can also use a plugin called JOTFORM INTEGRATION which can be download in WordPress plugin directory.
