    hello,

i am testing out your form builder as a non paying user at this point to get a feel for the service. i have sent aproximately 5 test submissions so far and when i looked at the "account" i saw that i had a total of twenty. i am confused, i thought as a free user i had up to 100 submissions.

i have not placed the test page up at a server yet as i want to be sure that before i set up the account in my customer with your paid service i can explain how the submissions are counted.

    Hello,

Update: (I have misunderstood your inquiry)

Each submission received is equal to one submission count.  If you have sent 5 test submissions, then it is equal to 5 submissions.

When I looked at your guest account that has the email address in the form wleal[at]arsgraphica.net, I saw that there were ineed 5 submissions.  As a guest user you are only allowed 20 submissions.

A guest user is different from a free user.  A free user has his own personal username/password and this needs to be created by the user.  A guest user account simply creates a form and does not create a personal account with us.

To create a free account, you will need to go down at the bottom-right part of the page and click the long orange button that says Click an Account - It's Free!!

    Hope this helps

I also noticed that edits to submissions count toward your total submission count. I plan on using the forms as a workspace for projects. I may edit the submitted form several times - unfortunately it looks like each one of these edits will count as a submission.

Is there anyway around this (other than buying more submissions?)

    Hi jeremyv,

We have anticipated that  JotForm members would normally keep submissions as it is and would not want to edit them. In case they would really want to perform manual changes in their visitor's form submissions, they can export the submissions as an Excel or CSV file and make the changes there.

Would the above procedure work for you? Kindly advise so that we can assist you further. Thank you for using JotForm!
