    Hi,

Is there a way we could use the barcode scanner widget to populate fields based on the unique number scanned?

(i.e. the barcode scanner will scan a serial number, and the Description and Control Number will automatically populate)

    Thank you!

There is no widget that can get an input from a barcode scanner.

If you are looking to fill data quickly, you can use the Spreadsheet to Form widget. This widget allows you to populate the form with the spreadsheet data, which is based on a unique identifier. Here is the guide:

My question is, can we use the barcode to access the unique identifier? (and then to populate the form...)

No, I'm afraid there is no way to populate the form in such a way. Fields in the form can either be populated manually or from prepopulate URL.

If you have any further questions please let us know.

    Thank you!
