Are contact forms and guestbook forms basically the same thing

Not sure I was looking in the correct place but I did not see Guestbook forms. I seen one that said guestbook as a theme but could not use that theme. Is there a place where you have guestbook forms like a lot of them to look at. 

Seems like the info for them is basically the same thing as contact forms, what are the differences between the two?

So you do not have a page that deals strictly with Guestbooks? See unlike a contact form where the person submits their email address and I reply back, I need a guestbook  where they can leave comments right on the guestbook page and if need be I can reply or respond back to their post on the guestbook page??? Is this what you have and does it work that way for sure???

Our product is form based, so you have users fill the data and submit the data, you can then view that data reply to the submitter, etc.

However, you cannot have it as a place where you would leave comments, get back to it and comment again.

Well that is kind of sad I suppose. OK thank you. Still waiting to find out on my other issue  Not seeing my contact form showing up on my local website posting. I see the embedded script but not the contact form itself when I publish my website locally it still brings up a browser to view it in , but it is not published on the web for everybody to see yet.Larry

We do not have a guestbook form type. However, this is possible to embed a report with the form answers to your web page or directly within the form page. Please see the next forum thread:

Also, we have Facebook comments and Disqus comments widgets available.
