Can I pre-populate a form with information already received AND produce an email link to the new form?

I have an application form that has already collected personal information and educational subject choices.

On results day I would like applicants to complete an Enrolment form, confirming their details, subject choices and results. It should also allow for adjustments if necessary.

Is it possible for me to pre-populate this second enrolment form with their original applicant details? And if so, can it generate a link that I can email to the applicant so they can access it?

    Hi Jonathan

Thank you for your response. The application form was completed in October 2018 and the Enrolment form will be completed in August 2019.

I have the information in an excel spreadsheet as there have been some changes from the original choices for some students. I would like to pre-populate the Enrolment form so for the most of them, all they will be doing is clicking submit to confirm.

The route you have suggested implies that this is a redirect straight after they have completed the initial form.

I would like to be able to email each student a link to the Enrolment form, pre-populated with their data. I want to input this data in bulk rather than one by one. Is this possible?

I think our Spreadsheet to Form widget will do all of these.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/442-How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget

You only need to add the required fields in the form, and the widget will fill them for as long as the correct code is entered, and the data matches with what you have in the linked spreadsheet file.

Here's a demo you can check: https://form.jotform.com/91764085109966. Enter Name 1, Name 2 or Name 3.

The widget only supports a limited number of fields, and I believe that is the downside here, especially if you have some widgets in 2018 form.

Thank you, this is just what I need!

When you say a limited amount of fields do you mean it will only process a certain amount of them? I have it working for everything I need apart from names and addresses

The widget can only populate certain types of fields, please review the list of supported fields here: How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget
