Filling the name field before the signup form starts

Hey,

Even as a multi-step form, it is a be a bit overwhelming to navigate to a new page to enter your email address when signing up for a newsletter.

Is there an option where we just have a field asking only their name on our landing page, and when they enter it and click on Next, the whole form pops up with the name field already filled out?

Or ideally, it will just say Hello, [NAME], what is your email address?

Is this possible with JotForm?

Is that what you're looking for? If yes, you can achieve that by using Show and Hide conditions.

To pass the Name field to the Text field, please add a Text field to your form and type the message you want. After that, add the Form Field Name. Here's a screenshot guide:

Thank you so much for the answer. I would like to embed the Name part of the form on the landing page, and when clicked on next, I would like for it to open the sign up form in multi-step form, ideally kind of like a popup.

Is this possible?

However, I'm not sure I understood clearly your requirement.

Do you want to pass the value of your form to your web page?

If you want to create a pop-up, you may use the lightbox in embedding the form.
