    Good morning,

I just updated my forms to make it more "user-friendly" for my clients!

It seems that I'm running into an issue.

In my previous form, the size of the entry boxes (both short and large) was large enough to make sure that our clients would have enough space to write their data.

With the edits, I just made, all the boxes are very small. It doesn't look great either.

    Please see the screenshot attached!

Do you know what's wrong with my new form?

Thank you for your help.1561653278Box Size Bigger Screenshot 101561653301Box size much smaller Screenshot 21

As I can see on your form, you have used both Long Text Entry and Short Text Entry elements. To create fields with larger text area, you may use Long Text Entry, which will appear bigger than Short Text Entry.

I would suggest to replace the smaller fields with Long Text Entry, customize its rows and columns should you want it to appear bigger.

    Hi John,

Thank you for your quick reply. I'm not trying to edit the form with the form builder but with the PDF editor. I did follow your advice on editing the size of the long text properties boxes but it didn't impact the form in the PDF editor.

Just to confirm, almost all the text entry in the Pdf Form are long text entry.

Please advise what to do as the form isn't user-friendly at all and I don't know why all those text entry boxes are too small.

    Thanks!

Apologies as I have overlooked that you were referring to Fillable PDF.

I have tried making Fillable PDFs, checked the preview and the actual downloaded file, but I wasn't able to replicate the issue.

My suggestion is to re-create the field by deleting and creating new Long Entry Text for that particular question. I have checked that the fields you were referring to is a Short Entry Text.

    Hi John,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I recreated a new form called "PEI-Test" just to find out what's going on. As you can see, while editing the PDF form, you can see that the element added under personal background in the form is long text entry. While saving it and opening it with Preview (Mac OS) and Adobe Acrobat Reader (latest version), we can see that it's a short text entry field. I think there is an issue with the PDF editor because it's not normal that the text field looks short on a pdf.

I was able to see the problem with the Long Text Entry on PDF form version.

It does appear like a Short Text Entry instead on the actual PDF form.

I will do further test to figure out a fix/workaround. I will be back to this shortly.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. It appears to be a new bug in our PDF editor.

I was not able to find an immediate temporary workaround fix at this time.

It needs to be fixed in the PDF Editor tool instead. I have now reported the issue to the backend team for further test and fixing.

We will notify you here once fixed.
