Why are the forms deleted?

Hello I received a message about our deleted forms and I need to find out how our forms were deleted.  I DID NOT LOG IN AND DELETE OUR FORMS.  There are hundreds of forms that appear to be deleted AND I DID NOT DELETE THEM since we need those forms from our employees and subcontractors for at least 3 years after submission.  Can someone please tell me how this could have happened?  I am afraid to have people continue to submit through this service since it seems that we have no control over when they might be deleted.  This is HORRIBLE for our business that these forms are gone!
