We share the log-in for our JotForm account and wondered if the same encryption key is tied to the one JotForm log-in, or if a new encryption key is needed for each device.

If so, does the new encryption key mean that previous encrypted form responses will be lost forever?

When you encrypt the form, an encryption key is created on an account level, meaning, that key will work for all forms that are encrypted.

Also, when you create a new key, all submissions received from that point will be decrypted by using that key (previous keys will not work).

Previously encrypted submissions will still be accessible but only with the previous key.

Also, you can use it in multiple devices, you just have to have the right key in each.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you!
