Concerns about setting up Recurring Billing with Authorize.net using Jotforms.

I have been researching the many ways our school can provide Recurring payments for our donors who use online giving. We use Authorize.net for our online giving. I found the following information on your forum and need clarification:

With JotForm you can collect payments on a periodic basis. This is ideal for subscriptions wherein you need to charge a fixed membership rate on a regular basis (monthly, yearly, etc) just like how JotForm would charge premium and professional plan users.

Is the fact that you can only charge a fixed rate a Jotform restriction or an Authorize.net restriction?
