MultiSelect Grid Widget: Count the number of selected slots when used on Calculation

    Hi

Yesterday I did a chat and explained that I am trying to allow users to select time slots (appointments) and assign a cost to them, automatically. He recommended the two integrations I have on my form - but I have no idea how to create the logic - and need to get this puppy live ASAP.

    FORM https://form.jotform.com/91985629973176

Ultimate goal - I have varied pricing, so depending on slot quantities selected, I want the payment to calculate. How can I best accomplish this... open to whatever options are easiest.

    Hello,

You can enable special pricing in the Payment field to calculate a different price based on the quantity selected. You do not need to use a widget for that unless you want to set a limit of the timeslot available.

    Guide for special pricing: https://www.jotform.com/help/265-What-is-Special-Pricing.

You have a few sets of dates in the form, and I think using a widget would make the calculation too complex. We can try, still. So, if the special pricing won't do it. Can you explain to us what would be the pricing, for example? I see you have Weeks in the form, and a payment field. Are you looking to combine them both? Any additional details you can provide of the form flow is greatly appreciated.

We look forward to your reply.

I do not have my issues solved - at all. Please help.

I do need to limit my spots - only 1 per timeslot, and then add the "special" pricing. So I don't believe the instructions provided will work, thus I have not tried them. For the meantime, I changed to a different, easier to see the calendaring widget and left the payment module, but I'd really like this to work much more efficiently. I would love to change it when I know what the best practice and widgets to use are, and that they work.

The pricing structure is as follows:

    IF THEY SELECT
1 session - costs $60 (single session only)
2 - 5 sessions, the cost is $55 PER session (needs to subtotal)
6-9 sessions, the cost is $50 PER session (needs to subtotal)
    10 sessions - cost $500 (total package)

I would like to understand this more.

If I would select 12:15 PM on Monday, July 29, is that equivalent to one session which is $60? If I select another, 1 PM, for example, that means 2 sessions which is $55 per session, so a total of $110? Please confirm.

Also, is there a limit to the number of sessions one person can select? I'm confused what's the quantity selector in your current form.

I am still trying to work through this form and it's issues. How can I best get support?

Our support forum here is the right place to get the best support with your JotForm related issues.

So basically, you want to count the selected slots on the MultiSelect Grid and apply calculations to get the desired amount. Since this is not yet possible and I believe this is what's lacking to achieve your desired goal, I will escalate this as a feature request so this will be considered for implementation in the future. Once we have updates on this feature request, we will inform you here.

Here's what my colleague and I trying to implicate.

MultiSelect Grid Widget: Count the number of selected slots when used on Calculation Image 1 Screenshot 20

So based on the above screenshot, 3 slots selected multiplied by your defined price (3*55=165) and that is it's total or subtotal if there will be more selections for the other MultiSelect Grid.

For now, you will have to rely on with your payment field's calculation, so the user will have to select the number of quantity in the product based on how many slots they picked.

If there's some confusion or if we have misunderstood your question, let us know.

Yes, that is what I am trying to get too! I look forward to your response. THANK YOU!!!!!

    Two other issues/support needed

    1. How can I block a spot that I've reserved offline, as the admin?

    2. How can I unblock a spot that has been unreserved, as the admin?

In the widget, you can set read-only sections. For example, Columb B Row 2, add B2:

Remove the read-only if you want to fill it up later.

    2. I'm confused since the block is not yet reserved, there is no need to unblock. Can you clarify this? Do you mean to say that people picked a cell, but did not pay? Do you want to free up that cell? If yes, you need to delete their submission to free it up. Or, since the field is not required, you can edit the submission and deselect the cell.
