How can I display condtional logic fields in email?

    Hi forum

I have a form with lots of hidden text entries, mostly addresses, which appear at the when the user selects from a drop down, via conditional logic. These are vital to the operation of the form, and everything works 100% perfectly online.

However, when the form is submitted and sent, the hidden fields (which appear dependant on conditional logic) are missing from the email. The "show hidden fields" option is enabled within sending settings.

How can I get these emails to display all the data? All the info we need is shown at the online / form user end, but only half the info is sent on the email.

    Thanks in advance

Try reintegrating the notification email into the form, which will show all the filled fields in the form. This includes the hidden fields which will show based on conditions.

    hi greardw

Thanks - have tried this, but still no joy. The hidden fields are just text entries, containing various in-house data, they are not user populated fields.

We apologize for this inconvenience, but on further investigation, it is not possible to pass text fields inside of your Email Notification. Only fields connected to some value can be added to Email Notification.

As a workaround I would suggest you to replace, the text field with a Long Text Entry field. Add the address as a default value in the Advanced tab of the field properties and set up condition to show this field based on the choice selected.

You do not need to delete the existing Hidden text fields. Keep them in the form as they may be linked to submissions. But disable the existing conditions linked to the text fields and add new conditions linked to the Long Text Entry field.

    Result in the email (autoresponder):

Thanks - this kind of works, at least to the extent that the emails now show the info we need - however, the PDF link does not include the hidden data. Is there any way to edit the PDF content also?

Can you please check if your form settings are set to clear hidden fields? If so, please set it to "Don't clear".

As for the PDF document, yes, you can customize your PDF document and add the fields you want to show: How-to-Customize-PDF-Submissions-Report
