Hi! I wanted to create a form for my husband and I to fill out when we spend money in certain budget categories. With each submission that has a dollar $ amount entered, I wanted the total to be subtracted from the budget we have. I can figure out how to do the calculation one time from the total budget amount; however, I was hoping to have that number change for future forms in that same category. For example, on DAY 1 I spend $100 of my $500 grocery budget. But, then on DAY 5, I spend another $100 - I want that new $100 to be taken out of the $400 we had left after DAY 1's submission. Is there a way for 1 form to calculate based on previous form submissions answers? Thanks!

Hello,
I'm sorry, but our calculation widget does not support this method. A workaround I can think of is using the below widgets:
http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/inventory
http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/quantity_gift_registry
Guide to add a widget: https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-your-Form.
Here's a demo you can check: https://form.jotform.com/92125000978959.
You do not need to have a calculation with these widgets. The remaining balance is automatically done for you. Unfortunately, you cannot connect the balance on your other forms. The balance only works in the same form.
I hope that works for you. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

seamankimReplied on August 1, 2019 at 1:43 PMThank you SO much for this reply!! I think I can make the inventory widget
work but, with that, one more question:
Is there a way to make a condition where if an answer option on 1 form is
chosen, then it takes the user to another form based on that answer chosen
(for example, on 1 form, can I ask "which month" it is and that answer take
us to a completely different form that I have created for that specific
month... and I can create different forms for each month so that the budget
is basically reset to the full amount each month once that month is chosen
and the condition takes us to that fresh form).
Is that possible?

Hello Kim,
Yes, you can do that with conditional logic. In the first form, add your month selection. Next, add the conditional logic to redirect to another page based on the month selection.
