Are online signatures legally binding?

I am creating medical release forms for our Student Ministries and was wondering if the signature line that I am using is considered legally binding.   I'm concerned if they are out of the country, this might be an issue.  Would appreciate any advice or direction.

    Hello,

Yes, eSignatures are legally binding on almost all countries and states, but we still recommend consulting with your lawyer or an expert within your area. Note that JotForm records the IP address and time of the signature made, so that also provides additional confirmation about the signer of the document.

We have two widgets that are compliant with the eSign Act:

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/adobe_sign

You may consider using any of this service if you are not sure of what signature widget to use from our list.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance on this matter.
