Can a semi-completed submission be saved?

    Hello there,

I've created a form and it works perfectly, but I need it to save before submitting?

Is there a function code that I can turn on, or a condition I can set?

    Thanks!

There are two ways you can achieve this.

    1 - Using the autofill feature: https://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-on-Forms

2- Session URL method, a bit tricky way. You can follow this tutorial: https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later

Note that the autofill option saves your data into your browser. So you can only access the filled form data from the same browser.

If you need anything else, please let us know.

    Hi there,

I'm still not getting what I want. I have yet again revised my form and the piece of the puzzle I'm now missing is, how can I save the data with 2 ppl working on the same form at the same time.

    Scenario:

One of account service members completes the form. When they hit "submit" the form goes to 2 or 3 other departments, depending on the conditions applied. Once the forms gets to the head of creative resources, head of studio, and head of production, they are to fill in the names of ppl they will assign to the project. This means I need a condition that saves what the dept heads assign.

So, CR will assign a name at 11:06am, but HoP will only get to the submission at 11:33am. Can the info CR wrote be saved and then viewed by HoP at 11:33am when she is ready to assign a person to the project?

    Thanks!

I'm afraid not, two people cannot input the data in the same instance (submission) of the same form, at the same time.

Two people can fill out and submit the same form at the same time, but each person would have their own instance (we call this a submission). So the responses that one person enters and submits would go into one submission, and responses entered by the other person would go into another submission.

Similarly, there are ways that different people can work on the same submission, by using the Edit Submission link and editing each other's submissions:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/40-How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date

However, you could not work on it at the same time. It would need to be filled out and submitted by one person, then another person uses the Edit Submission link to access that submissions and expand upon it.

Whatever the case, if you need two people to work on the same form submission at the same time from two devices, I'm afraid this is not possible.
