    yes, some companies do use letters in their phone numbers, but most don't. This risks invalid data, if users type letters by accident.

    The control should have an option "Allow Letters in Phone Number: Y/N"

    thanks

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, there is no way to restrict the phone field with just numeric characters only. Although as an alternative, you can instead replace the default phone field with text boxes then shrink them and have them on a single line for you to be able to apply a numeric validation to each box.

    Here is a sample:

    I did inject several CSS codes to achieve this result, here are the codes I used:

    #input_8 {margin-left: -220px;}

    #label_8 { visibility:hidden; }

    Ofcourse, you may modify the input & label value depending on your field properties and so with the margin depending on the size of the fields and form.

    Hope this helps. Thank you.

    yes, i know there's no way to restrict it to numbers.

    There should be.

    If you provide a control called "phone number", then i should not have to create my own phone number widget using text-boxes.
