I am inquiring about what exactly it is that makes your form HIPAA compliant. I am currently using the free version of the software and would like to know what makes the difference in the two forms. Also, how easy would it be to transfer over the current free version of our form to the HIPAA compliant one?

It is the way the data is stored and transferred. Jotform's HIPAA Forms, encrypt the data right on your form and then transfer and store the data encrypted. The HIPAA form data is stored in our HIPAA compliant servers which are separated from the Internet using multiple levels of protection and firewalls, and the encrypted data is stored in encrypted databases.

Please visit our HIPAA FAQ page: https://www.jotform.com/hipaa/faq/

HIPAA is available for Silver and Gold plans, so you would need to purchase one of those plans first: https://www.jotform.com/help/331-How-to-Upgrade-My-Account

Then, you would need to enable HIPAA on the account, please read this guide to learn more about the process: https://www.jotform.com/help/500-How-to-upgrade-to-HIPAA-Compliance
