Spreadsheet to Form widget: Is there an option to use a Google Sheet as a data source?

The use case we have in mind is a "request form" that will be used to assign work to one of our team's designers. We'd love to have a drop down field where the requester could select a client, and then the form would populate information about that client for the assigned designer.

Would this be possible within JotForm, somehow? If it is possible, what type/s of data source would we be able to pull from?

Perhaps, you can use the Spreadsheet To Form widget. It will allow you to pull existing records and display them on your form. The widget gives you the ability to upload a spreadsheet to your form and use the values you have on the spreadsheet to pre-populate the form. You will use a unique code present on each row of your spreadsheet. So, you can access that specific row when it matches the unique code entered on the form. Here is the guide:

If you do not have many clients and do not need often to update the information about them, you can also hard-code the information in the form and display it with conditions.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    Thank you, that helps!

Is there a similar option to use a Google Sheet as a data source, rather than a manually updated file? In our case, it sounds like there would be frequent updates to the data source. Thanks again for the help.

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment.

I have forwarded your ticket to the dev team and mark it as a feature request. Please note that there is no assurance that this will be implemented. It depends on the number of similar request, which we will receive and the workload of our developers. We can not provide any time frame for this, but we will update you on this thread.
