    Several issues with forms today

Asked by BaitMeTreats on March 28, 2011 at 01:06 PM

Today a client filled out a form to place an order using Purchase Order

    http://www.baitmetreats.com/BaitMe/Wholesale_Orders_PO.html

In the required field for address it wouldnt allow her to type into the STATE field until she had cpompleted the entire form, attempted to 'send', allowed it to say there are parts of the form missing that are required, and then she could go back and fill in the STATE -

Then when she did place the order the email we received said it was from our Paypal form and not the PO form.

and how can I make an adjustment so that after a client hits SUBMIT it takes them to the TOP of the Thank You page and not the bottom.

    Thanks!

    Hi Lynn,

I see what you're talking about on your site. The state field cannot be changed unless the submit button is clicked. It seems weird because I cannot replicate the problem using your form's direct link https://www.jotform.com/form/10274617214. As you can see in your form's direct link, everything works fine so this likely has something to do with your embed codes.

I suggest that you re-embed your form using the correct type of embed codes which is in your case, iWeb.

Go to Setup & Embed > Embed Form, and then choose iWeb.

OK I did as you said to all of our forms and now using Firefox I cannot get any of them to show up.

    Hi,

I scanned thru your page's source code thoroughly, and I found an unnecessary element that is blocking the state/province and city fields when using Google Chrome.

I think you may have embedded a widget that does nothing, resulting to an "invisible" widget that takes up space without you knowing it.

This widget (widget 2) blocks those two fields above. Try clicking on the far left of the city field or the far right of the state/province field and you'll understand what I mean.

Probing further, this widget contains an iframe that points to the url http://www.baitmetreats.com/BaitMe/Wholesale_Orders_PO_files/widget2_markup.html and upon inspection I found out that that widget seems to contain a stats counter of some sort.

Solution: Remove that iframe widget or place it where it would not block your form.

    Hope that helps,

    Neil
