My account was stolen

    My account was stolen today, with the email changed to ad***@****institute.edu.au. This happened without my authorisation. That is why I didn’t confirm it with my email. Please restore my account immediately to my original email address.

    Please note that when account email is changed, a verification email is sent to the original profile email address. Have you clicked on the "Verify Now" button of the "Please verify your email address change" email which was sent?

    I did not click on the "verify now" button. I did not click it because I didn't want it changed. I thought that your system would ensure that my account was safe. It is a massive security flaw in your system if you don't insist on receiving the "verify now" button before changing email address.

    Do note that to change the email address, you would have to login to your account and update.

    May we know if there are other users who has access to your account?

    Yes, I allowed other users to accesa my account, but obviously my trust in them was misplaced.
