Hi. This does not work if you want to give free shipping over a certain total sale amount. Gives the error: "You have entered one or more ranges incorrectly. Each range's lower limit should be one currency unit greater than the upper limit of the previous range."

This means cannot use this.

Any other suggestions if you want to give free shipping? I have a coupon in use already - and this form system is limited in that it will not allow 2 coupons simultaneously. Do I need to change to another system as this is getting too hard?

You can set shipping for each product:

And make certain products Shipping free.

An alternative way would be to create products and shipping with basic fields and calculate products and shipping, where you would create these:

With checkboxes and dropdowns:

And then you could create calculation and logic that would add the charge if a certain amount is reached, here is how to do form calculations in the widget:
