JotForm Mobile Forms: Offline forms won't allow use of "location coordinates" widget.

Is there a widget or other function in Jotforms that is compatible with offline mobile forms? I've tried using "Location Coordinates" but when I try to select my form for offline use, it won't allow it.

I get an error message: "Sorry this form cannot be completed offline due to the following fields: Location Coordinates"

Collecting location coordinates is an important component of our data collection and we're often working in rural areas without cellular or wifi reception.

I have location services activated on my device and the app has locations permissions.

Unfortunately, internet connection is required for the widgets since they are added to form as iFrame. Thid means that they are loaded from external resources.

However, I have forwarded your ticket to the dev team and mark it as a feature request. Please note that there is no assurance that this will be implemented. It depends on the number of similar request, which we will receive and the workload of our developers. We can not provide any time frame for this, but we will update you on this thread.

This is unfortunate as location info is very important to Dump Stoppers work. I'm sad to learn this now, because I feel mislead about the capabilities of Jotforms to work offline. Geolocation data collection was specifically mentioned in at least two of the mobile app demo videos. If this is not a feature that can work offline, then it should not be mentioned in offline demo videos or elsewhere on the site re: offline capabilities. 

Form respondents need a stable internet connection to use the GeoLocation widget. The widget tries to determine the GPS coordinates/cellular tower locations using cellular data connection which is why it cannot work offline. 

Nevertheless, it may be possible to gather the data offline hence we have submitted the feature request to our Developers. They will analyze and keep you posted through this forum.
