    Hello,

I am super new. My goal is to take data a customer input into a form I created and put that data into a PDF that I created.  Example: customer types in their name into my form and then that name can be exported into a "name" box in the PDF.  Basically, the customer is filling out the PDF and not even knowing it.. And saving me time.  Possible?  How?

    Thank you!

Hello there, and welcome to JotForm!

You need to download your submissions as PDF, if you want to see them like you've just described. Follow these steps:

Go to your Inbox by clicking on Inbox inside My Forms page:

Select the submissions that will be downloaded and click on Download. Select Download All if you want all of them in one file. Check out the screenshot below:

No, I do not think that is accurrate.  I do not want to simply download a PDF version of a form submission.  I want to input the customer entered data into a complely new PDF.

    Alright.

Then, you need to go to our PDF Editor by clicking on More and Create PDF Document:

This will open the PDF Editor tool. You will select a layout from the screen and see your submissions as filled PDF Files. You can also edit the submissions on that screen:

    Does this clear things up?

    Thanks for your reply.

No, I don't think that is correct. All that will do is download my submissions as a PDF. That was not my question.

It seems you want to populate your custom PDF file with the submission data of form. Unfortunately it is currently not possible to display the input data of form in a PDF form field.

The only option available is take advantage of our "PDF Editor" to customize the submission PDF documment. Once the form is submitted, you can download the submission PDF with user's data.
